A state filled with beautiful white sand beaches, palm trees and a serenity that no other place can enjoy, Goa is definitely India’s pride. Bringing in nearly 2 million visitors every visitors mainly for its famous yacht parties, casinos on the ship and of course the vast beaches
Thanks to a fairly large tourist population than its own, navigation in Goa is quite easy and you have plenty of options to go between places .
Rent a MotorCycle : The most easiest , cheapest and convenient way to navigate around Goa (even if it meant going from South to North Goa) is to rent a motorcycle. Every street corner or market will have bike rental shops that rents you a bike like Pulsar/Yamaha FZ for just 500/day (It goes upto 750-1000/day during Christmas) . If you want the Royal Enfield type bikes, you may have to shell out extra. Given the narrow roads in many places and quick traffic bottlenecks, a bike can be the easiest way out.
Car Rentals : Motorbikes are easy if its just 1-2 people. But if you are going as a group of friends or even family, renting a nice compact car is the safest option. You can easily get a Santro/Maruti or one those mini hatchbacks for rent, at just 1200-1500 a day. Remember that the fuel price in Goa is super cheap due to its Union territory status and tax exemptions. So you’ll be getting a litre of petrol for 20rs lesser than other cities
Group Tours : Though a small state, the last thing you want to do on a vacation is to drive around. So if you are quite tired and you just want to relax, its good to take one of those packaged tours from your travel agent. You can also enquire about the same in the hotel where you stay. Some packaged tours have a 3N/4D package at just 20K inclusive of sightseeing and hotel stay. This can work out way cheaper and comfortable for you
Good compilation. I have tried self drive car rentals in Goa 2 years ago
